Perinatal Mental Health

A gentle space to tend the heart, mind and spirit through pregnancy and early parenthood.

Becoming a parent - a mum, dad or co-parent - can be the most tender and joyful time, and also the most exhausting and challenging time of your life. It can be hard to find someone to help you who truly gets it. I'm Belinda Horton, and I provide warm, trauma-informed counselling and support for the whole of you as you move through trying to conceive, pregnancy, birth and the early years with your little one.

Sessions are by telehealth, Australia-wide.

Each person's Kokoro is unique, shaped by personal experiences, thoughts and emotions.

Kokoro Wellbeing honours that wholeness in the everyday life you are building with your baby, children and family. We move at your pace, with care for your body that holds your story, your mind that holds your thoughts and feelings and your spirit that holds your sense of self and your hopes for the future.

How I can help

Counselling and support

Sharing what's happening for you is the first step to understanding, not feeling alone, and building strategies for the life with your baby and family that you had hoped for.

The Richards Trauma Process™

TRTP™ goes beyond counselling, working with the unconscious mind through guided deep imagining to shift distressing or traumatic experiences making life with a new baby very difficult.

Clinical supervision

Reflective, quality clinical supervision for health professionals working with pregnant and new parents experiencing perinatal mental health concerns.

Taking the first step takes courage.

If you're thinking about reaching out, you're welcome to book a session, or start with a free 30-minute 'do we fit' session to see if we're a good fit.
