Fees are kept as low as possible so Kokoro Wellbeing services are accessible and sustainable. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Mental Health Treatment Plan

Medicare rebates are available for psychological treatment by endorsed mental health occupational therapists under the Australian Government's Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. If you're eligible, your GP or psychiatrist will complete a mental health assessment and prepare a Mental Health Treatment Plan, allowing rebates for up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year (1 January – 31 December) - usually 6 sessions, then a review and re-referral for the additional 4.

Without your referral or re-referral letter you won't be able to receive a Medicare rebate, so please keep on top of this.

After 10 sessions in the calendar year (including sessions with other practitioners) you will not be eligible for further Medicare rebates until the new calendar year.

A small number of sessions can be made available for newly separated or single parents with a Mental Health Treatment Plan who can't pay the gap so please get in touch or book a complimentary 'do we fit?' session.

Session fee: $230 for a 1-hour session(Medicare rebate + gap fee)

Private consultations

The same fees apply if you don't have a Mental Health Treatment Plan, have used your 10 Medicare sessions, or prefer to pay privately.

The Richards Trauma Process™

The Richards Trauma Process™ (TRTP™) is a structured process completed over approximately 13 sessions (5 × 1 hour, 4 × 2 hours). The process and number of sessions will be tailored for you. Fees are charged per session. Clients with a Mental Health Treatment Plan can receive the Medicare rebate on the first 10 session fees.

1 hour: $2502 hours: $450

Clinical supervision

Clinical supervision sessions for occupational therapists are invoiced on the day of each appointment, with a 7-day payment period. Payment can be made by credit/debit card or bank transfer using the details on the invoice, or processed against the card held securely on file.

Session fee: $250 for a 1-hour session

Cancellations

Needing to cancel or reschedule will happen - please give me at least 24 hours' notice. You can do this through the contact page or by email to admin@kokorowellbeing.au. If 24 hours' notice is not given, a $100 cancellation fee will be charged to the credit/debit card held securely on file.

If you don't attend without making contact, I'll attempt to reach you by phone and email. A $100 cancellation fee will be charged.

If you're running late

Please let me know by email or phone as soon as you can. It's generally not possible to extend your appointment, depending on the timing of other clients.

If you can't make a scheduled appointment, I'll try to find another time as soon as feasible - please be aware that with a full caseload this may not always be possible.

Payments

All accounts are settled on the day of your appointment.
Medicare rebate and gap fee are processed via the credit/debit card held securely on file.
Card surcharges may apply to help offset processing costs.
Medicare rebates are paid to the bank account details held on file.
You may also elect to receive an invoice and pay by bank transfer, processing the Medicare rebate yourself.
